Morne and Chris after training in Amanzimtoti, Durban
Chris Haueter
                                        Chris Haueter

I have known about Chris for many years and finally had the pleasure and honor to meet and train with this expert of Brazilian JiuJitsu and other Martial Arts for the first time in March 2008. Chris having trained extensively with legendary Guru Dan Inosanto and currently still teaching and training under BJJ legend Rigan Machado, is one of the most dynamic coaches i have ever trained under. He has a very unique and dynamic coaching method (and don't forget his sense of humor) which will improve any athletes performance in the combative arts. I am honored to be associated, recognised and apart of Chris Hauter and his Combat Base ™

                        Burton Richardson

My involvement with Burton since 1996 has been a life changing experience. It was thanks to Burton that i found new goals in the Martial Arts by searching for more functional and dynamic training methods and techniques. He has been a pillar of strength by sharing his knowledge not just on a fighting level but by improving my coaching standards and by encouraging a better quality of life. We have travelled the world together conducting seminars in Africa, Reunion, Spain, Italy, UK and USA. I am proud and honored to be noted as one of the first fully certified Instructors within his organisation, JKD Unlimited.

Morne and Jim after New York training session
Sgt Jim Wagner
                              Jim Wagner

The first time i met Sgt. Jim Wagner was in New York, June 2006. I attended his week long Instructors course and was blown away with what he had to offer in terms of military, security and personal protection. It was also after i was certified in New York that Jim appointed me as the director of South Africa for his system Reality Based Personal Protection. Jim visited South Africa for he first time in March 2007 where we conducted seminars in Durban and Johannesburg. What strikes me the most about Jim besides his knowledge of the Combative Arts is his honesty, integrity and the time he spends with my kids

                         Erle Montaigue

I started corresponding with Master Erle in the middle 1990's and had the great honor of finally meeting and training with this legend in 1999, and continue doing so until today . The focus of my training has been in traditional Tai Chi and the Erle Montaigue Sudden Violence System. Master Erle must be one of the most humble, gentle and kind Martial Artists i have ever met and associated with. I am privileged by being personally certified by Master Erle and being appointed as the South African representative for his World Taiji Boxing Association.

Morne and Demian after a training session in Brasil
Demian Maia

                       Demian Maia

I met Demian during my trip to Brazil in 2005. During this trip i had the great privilege to train extensively with Demian in Brazilian JiuJitsu (BJJ) for 2 weeks at a specialised Black Belt training camp in Buzios. This was intense training for approx 8 hours a day which included private classes. Demian is a gentle giant with a great character and a unique caring attitude towards his students. He has recently started fighting in the UFC and got the prize for the best submission win in UFC 77. Demian is scheduled to visit South Africa in the near future so i can continue learning from this awesome fighter, technician and person.

                                            Eddie Jardine

I trained with Sifu/Shihan Eddie Jardine for almost a decade becoming one of his senior instructors of his International Tai Chi Society and Yuishinkai Kobujutsu (Traditional Karate/Kobudo). I assisted him with classes and seminars in South Africa and also travelled with Eddie Jardine to China and Japan on one of my many trips abroad. I taught under the International Tai Chi Society and Yuishinkai Kobujutsu for many years. This gave me a good base and understanding of the Internal and External Martial Arts. I achieved an International recognised 3rd Dan under the RyuKyu Hozon Shinko Kai Yuishinkai Kobujutsu Association in Japan specializing in traditional Okinawan weapons, various Karate styles, Aiki Jitsu etc.

                                         Winkin Leong

After almost 15 years in sport karate and amateur wrestling i was finally exposed to Tai Chi and traditional more practical Karate - Kobudo thanks to Sifu/Sensei Winkin Leong. After a couple of years i trained and assisted Winkin at his Robertsham and Wits University training groups. I was later asked to take over the Wits University training group. It was thanks to Winkin that my Tai Chi and Karate/Kobudo/Aiki Jitsu was taken to a new level by introducing me to Eddie Jardine. I will forever be grateful to Sifu/Sensei Winkin for his knowledge, guidance and positive influence.

Morne and Dr Yang after training together in Pretoria, South Africa
Dr Yang Jwing Ming
                            Dr Yang Jwing Ming

I met and trained with Dr Yang during his visit to South Africa in the 1990's. It was a great experience meeting and training with one of the world's leading Internal Martial Arts masters. I studied Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Chin Na under Dr Yang.

                                             Prof Tom Sotis

I first met and trained with Prof Sotis in 1999 during his first visit to Durban South Africa. My first experience was the classical Filipino blade master with a host of fancy moves and disarms. Since 1999 i have trained with Prof Sotis on several occassions and every time it became the obvious why Prof Sotis has become one of the leading experts with the blade in the world today. His knife fighting system (Amok) evolved into a total street combative system with dynamic offensive and defensive tactics, techniques and training methods. The Amok system has shown great progress in the last couple of years moving away from traditional artistic patterns to focusing more on the reality of surviving a knife attack on the streets of today. I will continue studying and learning from this humble warrior.

Richard Bustillo
                                         Richard Bustillo

With a long list of accomplishments and credentials, Mr Bustillo is best known as being one of Bruce Lee's original students. I had the great honor and privilege of meeting and training with this Martial Arts legend during his first visit to South Africa in 2007. Mr Bustillo possesses a wealth of knowledge in various arts and exposes one to a very unique and motivating teaching style. Mr Bustillo trained me in Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai Boxing, Wing Chun, Kali, Brazilian JiuJitsu and Law Enforcement/Security training methods and techniques.
